Read the text, then answer: « Aiko’s holiday in Tunisia »

Last summer, Hana’s pen friend Aiko came to Tunisia from Japan. Hana met her at the airport in Tunis. Aiko bowed, because in Japan people bow to greet each other. Hana smiled and shook her hand. Then Hana’s mum kissed Aiko on the cheek, the Tunisian way!

The two girls travelled to Djerba, a big island in the south-east of Tunisia. They went to the market in Houmt Souk. Aiko wanted a present for her mother. “How much is this plate?” she asked. “It’s twelve dinars,” said the seller. Aiko bought it.

In the evening, Hana’s aunt cooked couscous with fish. Aiko ate it with a spoon, not with chopsticks! She said it was the best dish of her holiday.

Next year, Hana will visit Aiko in Japan. She can’t wait!

Last spring, my friend Pablo came from Spain to visit me in Sousse. When we met, we shook hands and smiled. In Spain, people often kiss on the cheek, like in Tunisia. First, we went to the medina. Pablo bought a red chechia for eight dinars. Then we took the train to El Jem and visited the old amphitheatre. In the evening, my mum cooked couscous. Pablo said it was the best food in the world!

One good example among many: compare, don’t copy.
